Concordia University Irvine Description:

Concordia University Irvine is a private liberal arts university in Irvine, California, that is affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The beautiful 70-acre suburban campus sits on a hilltop overlooking Orange County, just a few miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Irvine is also fifty miles south of Los Angeles and eighty miles north of San Diego. CUI offers 24 undergraduate majors and more than 50 specializations and minors, with popular programs in business administration, nursing, communication and physical education. The graduate division also offers nine master's degrees, including curriculum and instruction, educational administration and coaching and athletic administration.

Outside of class, CUI students stay involved in campus and community life with more than 20 clubs and organizations and a strong program of community service and engagement. Concordia has a strong arts and performing arts department; they offer majors in visual art, music, and theater, with a variety of opportunities for students to be involved in concerts, plays, and other art events. The Concordia University Eagles field 18 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) varsity athletic teams in the Golden States Athletic Conference.
